Who are we?
KS Writers, Inc. is
an organization of published and unpublished writers who meet
monthly to learn about the craft of writing and to network about the
business of being published.
Our nearly 40
members from Kansas and across the Midwest write fiction, non-fiction, book reviews, and
poetry. Members receive an e-mail newsletter full of information about upcoming programs and
articles on writing, access to our member listserv, support and
encouragement from fellow writers, critique group opportunities,
workshops, and talks by published authors and other interesting
folk.
The organization
also periodically sponsors the Monette Cummings Memorial Writing
Contest as a means of giving writers feedback from published judges
and as a forum in which to share their works.
Currently KS
Writers, Inc. meets on the fourth Saturday of the month (except
December) at the Topeka-Shawnee County Library at 10th and Washburn, Topeka, KS. The business meeting begins at 12:30 p.m. and the program
starts at 1:00 p.m. Please email the KS Writers’ President that you’d like to attend.
